UTA Information
The UTA, Utah Transit Authority, starts full ski bus service to
Alta, Brighton, Snowbird and Solitude ski resorts on Dec. 16th .
The Super pass which you can purchase at the hostel is valid for unlimited travel on ski buses and TRAX. Otherwise, the cost is $7.00 for a round-trip bus ride.
There are several ways to get to the ski resorts:
1). Take the light rail (UTA TRAX) from downtown and transfer to a UTA ski
bus at 7200 south (Midvale) that will take you to any of the Cottonwood Canyon
resorts (Snowbird, Alta, Solitude and Brighton).
2).Take the ski buses (bus #951) at 200 South West Temple Street, which will take you directly to the Ski resorts. From the hostel to the ski bus, you could walk or take #3 bus. The trip starting from the hostel to the resorts should take about 50 minutes. You take the 8:37 AM #3 bus at the hostel and make a connection for #920 bus at 8:55 AM. You would get there at 9:30 AM just when the resorts open.
3). Take #3 bus to the University of Utah and change to bus #952 at 500 S & Guardsman Way. You take #3 at 7:54 AM at the hostel and the ski bus leaves at 8:30 AM.
