Take the UTA Bus #550 from the international airport to Central Station and then transfer to #3 bus (keep the ticket, it is good for two hours.) You need to get off at Second Avenue E Street, which is less than 50 yards away from the hostel. The buses run every 30 minutes Monday through Saturday from 6:18am til 11:36pm, and the cost is $2.00 (make sure you have the exact change. The bus driver does not have any change.)The best choice is the courtesy shuttle van running by the LDS Church. That is a free service starting at the Airport at 9:00 AM everyday of the week. It runs every hour in the winter, spring and fall and every half hour in the summer. (November to March: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM; April-May and September-October: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM; June-August: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM every half hour). Just tell the driver that you are coming to the hostel after the visit. The visit is nice as well. This is a must-see when you are Salt Lake City any ways. After wards, you could either walk or take #3 bus to the hostel.A fifteen-minute taxi ride from the Salt Lake International Airport to The Avenues Hostel costs approximately $20. |

If driving, take the Airport Road to I-80 East. Travel I-80 toward downtown. Merge onto UT-186 E toward City Center/North Temple ST. Stay STRAIGHT to go onto North Temple, Stay STRAIGHT, North Temple becomes 2ND AVE. after State Street. Avenues Hostel is on the corner of 2nd Ave. and F St. On the left side before F Street. You can park your car in the back parking lot entering the last drive way before F Street.Greyhound and Amtrak are located next to Central Station. Take #3 bus right there and get off at 2ND Ave. and E Street. (Bus fare is $2.00, make sure you have exact change.) |
